Dam0nBaird Posted May 24 Author Posted May 24 Well, it seems like the texture issue in the rain zone has been resolved, with a few exceptions. (The issue with parts of Perlika's model disappearing remains—I can't properly extract her dump from the game using updated tools, and the xxmi Discord server couldn't help me.) I'll continue searching for a solution. All mods now have a universal ALT key to prevent switches from being activated during construction. All mods also now have their own download pages. 2

Mayer22 Posted May 25 Posted May 25 Hi. First of all - ty for your work, ur mods are the best on AKE. Second - it seems there is a bug with Perlika's LOD mod when she in the party as a companion.

Second - it seems there is a bug with Perlika's LOD mod when she in the party as a companion. Hello. I've mentioned this issue twice above. As I mentioned in my last message, it's caused by an error in Perlika's model being extracted from the game. I'll try to explain in more detail: to address the texture issue in rainy areas and the game's latest major patch, I updated the modding tools I use. The new version doesn't work with resources extracted from the game using the old version of the tool. To update the mods, I had to create new character model dumps, force each component and mod object in Blender to use the new resources, and then recreate the ini file. The problem with Perlika is that when incorporating the new LOD into the resources, an error occurs every time with component 4 (the component responsible for the jacket and part of the arm). I've made over twenty attempts to extract her model using different conditions, but I always get the same result. I asked questions about this in the xxmi Discord discussions, but they couldn't help me. 1) They told me there were no issues with Perlika during the testing phase. 2) The suggested tips didn't help, and others were too difficult for me to understand. 3) No one was able or willing to share a working extracted dump with me. Therefore, I can't solve this problem yet. Option 1) Use version 1.1, which has LOD functionality, but the wet textures are broken. Option 2) In version 1.2, disable the jacket (component 4). And wait for the mod update. 1

Dam0nBaird Posted May 31 Author Posted May 31 (edited) Finally got two days off - returned to the hobby, there is still a lot of work to do on Ardelia, the worst model of those I have seen from the technical side (there is an assumption that the creator of the model was either in a hurry or did not try very hard on it). I borrowed the horns from Orphea - I think this version is cuter Edited May 31 by Dam0nBaird 10

I had an idea to combine these two versions of the mod, namely the bulk of the mod - 1.2, and separately the jacket and arms from version 1.1, all that remains is to do this

I've heard some news that NTE isn't living up to expectations, whether from players, the developers themselves, or their investors. I wouldn't want the project to close.

Even on 1.3 Update your Mods still working good and not breaking like some others Mods (still need to try everything, I only use to check new update) I mostly lurk for mods as did not try to disturb the flow of thread. I'm just thankful for your Mods that is Good or Premium like most good modders but chose to not pay wall them. I know that they work hard on their works so that donation/paying is equally not to be blame. Hope you had a great days and still able to keep making this Endfield mods. Thank you and sorry for the long winded texts.
BigBelt Posted Friday at 09:22 PM Posted Friday at 09:22 PM I came across some pretty useful information regarding character material properties, so I thought I'd share it. https://gamebanana.com/mods/651557 It looks like the recent RabbitFX update added support for reproducing different material finishes, as shown in the examples at the bottom of the post. I tried following the guide so I could test it myself as soon as possible, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get it working. Hopefully this information might be helpful or provide some reference for your mod development.

Yes, my wonderful days of working 24 hours a day will soon be over, and I'll finally be able to find some time for this hobby again. A lot of tasks have piled up, and I'm looking forward to June 13th so I can finally get to work on them. 1) Finish the Ardelia mod, 2) Fix Perlika's jacket (I even think I've come up with a solution), 3) Learn material replacement techniques, and 4) Continue creating mods. It's interesting, and if it works, it will be amazing.
