“Hey, do you guys know why I have a black texture on a pen? I mean, I’m new to modding, so maybe I messed something up, but first I need to know what could have caused this error.

It's difficult to answer without more details about your game and the mods you're using. We assume it's WickedWhims, but which one exactly? Is your game up to date, or are you using a specific version? If so, all your mods should be compatible with that version.

Have you updated the game? The latest patch (1.122.218.1030) fixes a bug that prevented some custom mods from being recognized since version 1.122.212.1030.

Many mods have been updated since then, but which version of WickedWhims are you using? (WickedWhims v185h February 13, 2026) - latest public version.

It seems to be a texture issue or a texture conflict. Move your mods to a different location, leaving WickedWhims where it is, and then restart the game. Check if this resolves the issue. Move your relocated mods back in small groups (10 at a time) until you find the problematic one.

Finding the responsible mod is difficult and requires time and patience. Try to remember when the problem first appeared; this indicates a change made to the game or the installation of a new mod.

Well... actually, I don't think visual bugs are really related to the level of modding. You can solve them with brute force without having to do any major work.

https://wickedwhimsmod.com/visual-issues#a-penis-miscolored

  1. Delete localsimtexturecache.package.
  2. Also, depending on the body detail texture being used, the penis area might be blank or have a different penis assigned to it. In that case, the overlay texture will be lower in the hierarchy, so the best solution is to use a penis texture that renders the penis in a different way (for example, the noir penis).
  3. https://wicked.cc/body/noir/pornstar-cock-v7/
  4. If you want to continue using overlays, one good approach is to try changing the skin tone, for example.
