I'm using a Valerica replacer, but the mod has been blacked out on Nexus. The follower has equipped Melodic's Echidna mod. It's his original mod equipment

Is there any reason why the SMP of the dress doesn't work on the Follower but, if I wear it, it works correctly?

I remodeled in Bodyslide, in order to locate the source of the problem, I replaced the follower's dress, with the original Melodic's, making sure with Nifskope that the correct xml file is loaded . SMP.Log, it does not report any type of error

Yes, I installed Faster-SMP + SMP fixes (smp reset)

Yes, the physics aren't added by the dress itself but rather something only you're wearing; or to put that another way, you had dress physics before you even wore the dress.

Edit: Another reason: NPC is a different race, and uses a custom skeleton that's missing the dress bones.

So theoretically, if I change the skeleton, would it work?

I also replaced the body , using the same one I use for my PC . Shouldn't that make up for the skeleton? Would he always use the Follower's?

If it's currently not XPMSE, then yes I would replace it.

No the skeleton is its own thing. There does appear to be some way to inject bones from outfits such that you don't need a skeleton with a bone for every physics-enabled sleeve, sling or dagger that an outfit might come with; but at the same time, there's most likely a reason for why XPMSE was originally created with boob and skirt bones. I don't really know how that works. My personal experience is that it's just better to have the bone both in the current outfit and the skeleton.

When importing an outfit into Blender, you must also specify the skeleton to be used, even if the outfit already appears to contain the bones it uses when viewed in NifSkope. Perhaps suggesting the bones we see in outfits are just partial data points, or references.

I noticed that when I start the game, SMP works on the follower for a few seconds , then it freezes , only on the follower. CBPC, however, works correctly.

EDIT

Inspecting the various folders of the mod, it does not contain a skeleton, I assume it uses the one already installed in Skyrim (XPMSE)

EDIT

I forgot to mention that the follower was taken from his original cell by SLSurvival. Could this have any bearing on this?

Experiment nr°1:

I went to the Follower's cell (Blue Palace), recruited the follower and, SMP works fine

Assuming SMP breaks when called by another mod (SLSurvival) . I'll do some more checks before I call the problem solved.

SMP is not interested in which cell and NPC is in.

What effect does the smp reset console command have on that?

It's still strange that this happens .

No effect. If I recall the follower, smp freezing , if I go to fetch it, it works correctly.

What is "SMP fixes"? As far as I know, SMP works fine without additional fixes, the only exception being the following:

SMP-NPC crash fix-91616-1-1684409131

SMP stretch fixer   If it turns out that this is the cause, I wouldn't be surprised. I'm experimenting with uninstallation
