Slaves mod

Hello everyone, I'm writing a thread with this request. I'm new to all these mods and stuff. Please recommend some cool and essential slave-themed mods.

Posted (edited)

I'm assuming this is for Special Edition (SE or AE) and not for LE, most mods work for both though. Do you want to play as someone who captures and owns slaves, do you want to be a slave, or do you want slavery in the environment?

A few frameworks that are often used:

Zaz animation framework: a bunch of bondage furnitures and outfits (mostly restraints). I personally recommend using version 8+. Version 9 exist, but I don't know any mod that requires it, and its file size is a lot larger. I've also heard it doesn't work well with Special Edition, but that problem might have been fixed since the last time I checked.

Devious Devices: More bondage outfits and devices, and some furniture as well. DD has more complicated mechanics, such as locking the player or NPC into the restraint/furniture and requiring a key or struggle mechanic to get out. I recommend using DD NG+ here as well.

In general ZAZ/ZAP is mostly used to place furnitures in the world, and place NPC or the player in them. DD is more often used for player enslavement mods, or for mods that put bondage gear on the player.

Devious Devices has an entire thread on mods that work well with it : Devious Skyrim v2.0 it's still mostly up to date.

Player as a slave options often require Devious Devices, so most are on the Devious Skyrim page. An important mod to mention here is Simple Slavery ++, which can function as a start option for slavery mods. Defeat mods, like SL Defeat or Naked Defeat, can also send the player to Simple Slavery ++. This can result in a fun gameplay loop: go to combat, lose, get captured, sold into slavery, and escape, repeat.

If you want to capture and train slaves for yourself, the best frameworks are Paradise Halls Extended or Diary Of Mine. I recommend DOM, it's newer, still often updated, and it does everything PAH does. DOM is more complex though, so some people still prefer PAH. With both versions, you can capture NPC and train them to full obedience.
There are several addons that give bonus options: And You Get A Slave allows you to sell your trained slaves to other NPC in the city. The more you sell, the more accepted slavery becomes, and the more slaves you'll see. Home Sweet Home: allows you to set up special training bases where you can put your slaves, have them train each other. HSH also comes with a couple of interesting quests. Enthralled (my own mod) has several quests that allows capture of unique NPC, as well as options to buy and sell slaves from markets/jails.
All three of these work with both DOM and PAH, though AYGAS and HSH still have some problems with DOM, the author is working on that.

There's also Yuriana, which is a massive quest mod with themes of slavery. It has a lot of NPC you can enslave, but does not allow enslaving NPC from other sources like PAH or DOM.

And if you want to place slaves in the environment, the classic mod is Hydra's Slave Girls, which places a ton (and I do mean a ton) of extra slave NPC in the world, some with dialogue. It also places some dungeons in the world, but I wasn't a fan of those.
I'm a fan of the Damsel In Distress series, each mod places 'damsels' in various forms of captivity around skyrim, in a more constrained way compared to Hydra's.

Out of curiosity how bad is AYGAS and/or HSH with DOM atm? I'm thinking about using all 3 but it seems like I have enough problems as it is. :P

I believe the base functionality works, but a few special cases, like a few points in a quest or the auction system on AYGAS are still difficult (partially because those systems were already difficult on PAH, DOM's author has actually published an update for the base version of AYGAS and HSH). I'm not currently in a playthrough, so I haven't tested it out much. What I did try all worked, the reason that I think it isn't perfect yet is that DOM's author mentioned that next update will contain more fixes.

If you want more details, you can ask in DOM's forum, there are several people there who play with both.
