deff. Posted March 17 Posted March 17 @woodrealmelf Buffout 4 NG with PDB support - remove. Use only other Buffout. Fallout 4 Window Helper - unnecessary. It's enough set up game in "windowed borderless" mode. AAF F4SE - if it's separate .dll plugin for AAF, remove it. AAF 1.1.5 already contains all necessary .dll plugins. And what do you mean with "run smoothly but after i try to use f4se" ? Modded game always launches through F4SE.
subaverage Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Besides the things deff. already wrote I recommend to update Looksmenu to version v1-6-20. As soon as you use F4SE and dependent mods you need to start the game through the f4se_loader.exe from the main game folder and make sure that F4SE is installed correctly. It also creates logs in ....Documents\My Games\Fallout4\F4SE. Perhaps you find some useful information there. Shortly I have seen a crashlog with a very similar first line. For this user the Windows Defender was the culprit. After setting FO 4 and most likely the f4se_launcher as an exception the game worked again.

MO2 should recognize F4SE plugin and it will be as executable. Run game only through F4SE in future. And about game - remember, that fresh download is AE version. All mods (F4SE as well!!) must be compatible with AE

Sorry i didnt make it clear, my prob was everytime i start f4se using MO2 it crash at start menu even tho i have less mods from fresh install tho if i start by using f4se_loader outside(not in MO2) if that makes sense, i can run the game no problem. i did some testing uncheck all mods still crash, remove some mods still crash then i search for possible when i found some users said that the settings are retained in the profile settings that may cause of the crash tho i am not really sure if that is my case so i did it otherwise coz i dont know what to do, even if i check crash log i dont even understand what is said there even using crash log scanner.
