Kreidian Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I want to wear new outfit mods in game. That's it. So ... HOW? I fully admit, this is a total noob question due to my lack of FO4 modding experience. No doubt something that everyone has done a bunch and just assumes others already know by now. And yet much to my neverending frustration I cannot find a single guide or description to explain this one single simple step. I don't need to make new outfits, I'm getting other people's outfit mods and want to use them in game. I don't need to adjust bodysliders for them, or anything like that, already done. I just want to know; once the mod is installed how do I actually wear the "Fancy Dress" or "Bunny Suit Slut" or whatever outfit I have inside the actual game? Ideally I would like to add NEW apparel items to my inventory I can just equip. Every guide I see talks about adjusting bodysliders and building meshes to make sure it looks right, but somehow completely skip the vital step of wearing said mod inside the game. If such a crucial guide does exist I couldn't find it in the ocean of other outfit mod videos etc. and I would love a direct link.
BDNelson Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Ok, first, you need to include more info in your post. What kind of body, what outfits, a reverted game to a version other than the most updated one? And I have to ask this one, do you have the right outfit\armor conversions for the body you are using in BodySlide. CBBE only outfits will not work on a Fusion Girl body in BodySlide or the game, they have to have the conversion mods too. (CBBE to FG 3BBB) Body presets can have an effect as well... I think. (?) Are you selecting the proper "Groups" before doing the 2 "build" processes? Is the body preset a FG one or a CBBE one, that can make a difference as well. Are you editing the preset you are using yourself? I haven't had too much luck with that one myself. And, I hope you don't get mad at this one, are you equipping the outfits\armors that are in your inventory of your character in the game? 1
subaverage Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Most outfits coming with mods need to be crafted at a workbench. Many at the chem station. You should find the description on the relating mod pages. Crafting them there adds them to your inventory and when you match the requirements like body type you equip them via Pip-Boy. Some can be found somewhere. This should also be stated on the mod pages. Another way is to add them to your inventory using the Sreen Archer Menu without the need of any workbench, but I would recommend to go the "correct" way. 2

This is the answer I've been looking for. If anyone's reading this later on, this explains the missing step. It's amazing how many guides go through and forget to just say "try crafting them in your chem station". Good to know sometimes the outfits are available elsewhere as well, but just that one line would work for most of the mods. Without any other info I was just guessing before, the normal workstation, the armor station, didn't think to even try the chem station because you don't normally get any apparel there. 1

If you want the outfits in early game stage, you can use esp explorer as well. Or Screen Archer menu - there is possible to add outfits right on your body + inventory.

You just bind it to a hotkey, zoom out to 3rd person, choose the .esm/.esl's etc you want to load the clothes from (or all + search by name), pick the clothes / play dress-ups and then close it to keep the equipped ones in your inventory. It also shows the slots everything is using and feels very lightweight as well. Edited March 5 by Franco Cozzo
csacskamacska Posted March 11 Posted March 11 A "konzol" használata minden problémát megold. Ismerni kell a kívánt darab nevét és a játékban a konzollal megkerestetni majd megszerezni... Miért lehet ez bonyolult?
