barjack Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I want to know if the xxx_sk.dds texure,,this file originally used as fake sss texture in vanilla skyrim. But i tested it on SSS shader of ENB for couple hours, painted it full green/red/black,,and i couldn't see the difference. So,,,the SSS shader in ENB doesn't use this texture at all? my enb version. :enbseries 0.246
canderes Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 It isn't really for sss there was a post somewhere about it being used for blending colors/seams between character meshes/textures. There was a post for fallout 3 I think that explained it really thoroughly, but I can't remember where; probably nexus. Some versions of enb are easier to observe sss with, realvision made it really clear for me, but it only seems to filter between orange/red colors. There are a few _sk's uploaded on nexus you can look at, but all they really do is blend colors between the neck and head.
barjack Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 Is it this mod? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30050/? I painted my _sk with different method,,but it's really hard to believe it's only used for blending colors between seam area,i tried it in vanilla ,it's related to the ring shaped specular light too.I'm surprised enb doesn't use it as sss source.
