OAR animations limit and sexlab animations

Recommended Posts

I encounted a problem after adding some sexlab animations. OAR tells me I installed too many animations either deleted some or change the limit.

This is not the real problem because I changed the limit in the ini file and solved this.

However it makes me wonder, does OAR manage sexlab animations? I know OAR manage the pirorty of many battle animations so this means I can change the sexlab animations through OAR but Sexlab framework? But I did not find sexlab animations in the OAR GUI.

Also I'm really confused about the OAR animations limit. The original limit of OAR is about 30k, every time I run Pandora there are about 50k animations and OAR never report this to me before this time.

There's 3 different "animation" concepts being thrown around here:

  1. OAR animations: most likely how many rules it can hold that define which animations to replace.
  2. FNIS/Nemesis/Pandora animations: actual animations.
  3. SL animations: collections of FNIS/Nemesis/Pandora animations. Usually I call these SL scenes to avoid confusion.

The naming of these is unfortunate. Could be improved.

So to put that another way:

2 different things, not related to eachother.

Something else changed as well, or you didn't notice the OAR warning before.

Edit: Had a look in OAR and it does seem like it's checking the animation count using the old 32K animation limit which is also unfortunate since this has been increased to 64K for many years now. I would ignore its warnings, as long as it's just a warning that doesn't prevent OAR itself from functioning and you have one of the animation limit fixes installed.
