[ solved ] Sexlab Netch animations not working

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Went and checked my netch animations today for fun. The netch does not move during any animation but the human actor does. Not having issues with anything else. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Had something similar with rieklings ages ago, but not quite the same.

Netch behaviour file, or perhaps missing hkx files. If you're using Pandora, rebuild in FNIS and test again.

This didn't work so I assumed it was an issue with my meshes. I didn't find anything that should be causing issues with sexlab, but I found something weirder. It looks like at some point my files were corrupted or something. My pc was having memory issues before I replaced my ram. The netch meshes folder was reduced to a blank file. There was a backup through vortex so I restored it. It is very strange since their normal animations were working, just not the sexlab ones. They seem to be working now. I might have to verify integrity through steam, downgrade, then restore my mods.

So in other words it did work, since you restored the missing hkx files I mentioned.

Not really, since the normal animations are in the vanilla BSA archives and the SL ones were in the (broken) meshes folder.

yes you were correct that I had missing files (which had become corrupted due to hardware issues), but running FNIS did not help. I had to restore the files manually by applying the backups. Deploying my mods did not restore anything on its own so my staging folder may be corrupted as well.

The thing with FNIS is that it's a great tool for testing issues that could be related to Pandora. It is also a really quick test to do. Pandora has its issues, it's WIP (I hope). FNIS is simple and has worked for years.
