Tattoos changing on their own

My sims constantly get the ultra colorful tattoos from enchanted nature. Its always the arms, legs, stomache, lower back, sometimes upper back. I go into cas and select the ones I had before or none at all but most of the time they return. I just edited a sims nipples only to see the former nipples after leaving cas. Yes, I used the check mark when leaving cas, not the X.

 

But it gets worse.

 

When I switch to another household member while in cas, this bug seems to jump over. When I go back to the previous sim the tattoos reset.

It also now infected random generated sims. See picture below.

 

So far my only workaround was to use a mod that shows the slots in the categories in cas and select those "empty" options. These hardly reset. Its been reported of course, many months ago but as usual nothing came of it. Its super frutrating.

These are probably due to ailments. They're not tattoos, but skin overlays, like the disease overlays. The paint splatter in the pic is from a creative ailment.
