Random human enemies flash white on death.

I started having this issue a while ago and I can't find a fix, most, but not all, human enemies flash white and play a potion sound when they die. The type of weapon doesn't matter, it still happens with magic. It affects men and women. I thought I read it had something to do with blood, so I turn Enhanced Blood back on and it still happened. I was trying out Rim Lighting Removed, but it still happens after disabling it. I thought it might be a decal or SSAO type setting in the ini files, I set them to default/reactivated SSAO and it still happened. I thought it might be a kill cam issue, I disabled VioLens's MCM and it still does it (but I haven't fully removed it, not that it ever did it before). Same thing with Smart Harvest but it still happens.

 

I have no idea.

Here are the plugins I have active. A few are my own persona mods that never had this issue before and are really just merged esps or a custom race.

  1. Go get More Informative Console.
  2. Murder someone.
  3. Open the console and select them while they're glowing white.
  4. Use MIC to create a list of currently active Magic Effects.
  5. Go through each effect in xEdit, and find the one that has a white shader attached to it.

The hit shader I'm assuming?

Different actors give me different effects. Unless I'm reading it wrong. One gave me like 39 effects listed (active and inactive), and another gave me 3. I'll keep looking.

Cross-referencing might save time. White shader MGEF has to be in both lists, right?

I found the culprit, it was SOS. I had edited it to add potions to the bandit level list. For some reason it seemed to be acting like the npc was drinking the potion or something on death, thus the white flash and the potion sound effect I kept hearing at the same time. It was the last thing I was expecting. Thank you for helping me out.
