Character Can Not Sit or Lay Down

Hey All!

I ran into a problem tonight where my character immediately stands up when interacting with a chair or bench, when laying down on a bed to sleep, and when interacting with crafting stations.

SexLab animations work, Dancing and Instrument playing also work (their animations are not cancelled). I can also Sit on the Floor and Lay on the floor via Rest Anywhere mod without problem, but the Sleep option has me immediately stand up.

This is only affecting one save as of tonight, but I am wondering if there is a fix or if I need to revert to an older save (unfortunately losing a week's worth of progress due to me not save rotating like I should)?

I appreciate any help. Thanks!

Never seen this before, but I would be suspicious of the following:

  1. Papyrus scripts with SetVehicle calls.
  2. Mods with dlls.

I would start by looking for SetVehicle in all pex files in all mods, and see how that might correlate to currently running quests and spells - perhaps even cross-reference these with quests and spells from a working save, since that information appears to be available.

Thank you for the assistance. You mentioning the vehicle thing triggered a memory of this happening in an older Skyrim where crafting would get bugged and I couldn't make anything. But that was resolved by mounting a horse of all things. Unfortunately that did not work this time.

I appreciate the assistance, but since I am a mere 4-5 hours into the playthrough on the character, I decided to just start over rather than dig through files. Thank you for responding and taking your time to help. 😃
