[BACKSTORY]

 

Some time ago, in an abandoned laboratory, a set of documents was discovered, signed only as Project Y-354. The notes were torn, some burned, but one word repeated throughout them: “awakening.”

The creature was once a human. A volunteer or a victim, depending on which version of the report you read. A subject in an experiment meant to “surpass the limits of biology.” When the experiment spiraled out of control, the scientists fled, leaving him connected to the machinery, a metal cylinder on his head and tubes pumping into his lungs something that had long ceased to be air.

Years later, the devices finally shut down.

Y-354 woke up alone.

The only thing he remembers is the echo of fleeing footsteps and the distant sound of his own scream. Now he wanders among the abandoned laboratory equipment and forgotten belongings, trying to assemble memories that no longer match the body he inhabits. Sometimes he freezes, clinging to the last fragments of thought and humanity, as if trying to recall who he once was.

But whenever he starts to succeed… the green light on his back pulses in warning.

As if someone... or something... doesn’t want him to remember.
