Hattara25 Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 (edited) Cannot for the life of me figure this one out. My character will randomly enter animations while I'm just walking around. Usually it's a crouched animation, but not the normal crouch-walking one. It looks like a non-vanilla pose. One time I saved while they were doing it, reloaded, and it had turned into a blowjob animation. I can still move around while the animations are playing, but I can't use any spells or weapons. Unarmed works fine though. Sometimes an animation doesn't even play, but the game just revokes my ability to use any weapons or spells. The only way to get out of it is jumping, and even that only works sometimes. Load order here: https://pastebin.com/xtAQpBHa Edited December 4, 2025 by Hattara25

Perhaps the problem is precisely that you haven't installed one of these mods (DAR or OAR). Many mods add animations to the game — these require one of the following: -> MANAGING these additional animations
traison Posted December 4, 2025 Posted December 4, 2025 In that case the only thing I can think of is to search through all pex files in all mods (including in BSA archvies) for "SendAnimationEvent". I've made a utility that can do this search. It's available upon request. A tool such as Notepad++ can do it partially, but it won't search within packed BSAs whereas my utility will. 6 minutes ago, Miauzi said: Perhaps the problem is precisely that you haven't installed one of these mods (DAR or OAR). Edit: The animation problem seems to have disappeared, despite what traison said. No idea how if what they say is true, but if it's fixed then I'm not too worried. Installing OAR seems to have introduced a new problem though, now some objects and even entire walls and parts of the level disappear when I get too close or angle my camera a certain way. Everything I'm seeing says this is caused by city overhaul mods and whatnot, but I haven't installed any of those. The closest thing is the flora overhaul and bigger trees, and this bug still happens indoors. Edit 2: Restarted the game and that fixed itself too, nevermind. Edited December 4, 2025 by Hattara25
Yes, I know that, but what happens if you have animations that absolutely require DAR or OAR, but you haven't installed DAR or OAR beforehand?

If you could send a link to this utility that would be great, as well as a quick guide to how to use it. Edit: New part of the issue, I can't mine ore, even when one of the glitched animations aren't playing. My character just stands there for a couple seconds, then I get control of my character back. Edit 2: I managed to get a screenshot of the squatting animation, maybe it'll help narrow down the mod it's from. Edited December 4, 2025 by Hattara25

Technically there are no such things that I'm ware of. Mods that absolutely require either DAR or OAR simply wouldn't do anything without them, but they're not going to blow up your computer either if DAR or OAR is missing. Animations get registered into behaviour files by FNIS, Nemesis and/or Pandora. These do nothing on their own unless invoked by the game. The DAR/OAR config files configure DAR and/or OAR to replace animations that are invoked by the game, like how you can tell OAR to play a random idle animation every time the game tries to play its default idle animation. 33 minutes ago, Hattara25 said: Nevermind, the issue came back. Unforunately neither OAR nor DAR have anything to do with level geometry. Your issue is most likely coming from the near clip distance of the camera. This is set in the Skyrim ini files and may get overridden by mods like Alternate Convesation Camera. 33 minutes ago, Hattara25 said: If you could send a link to this utility that would be great... Sure. It'll be in your PM's in a bit. Edited December 4, 2025 by traison
Hattara25 Posted December 4, 2025 Author Posted December 4, 2025 Nevermind, I figured it out. It was happening every time I went into my favorites menu, which was bound to the same key as the rest feature in Slaves of Tamriel. Rebinding the key fixes the issue.
