deff. Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 New problem appeared and I wanted to know, what mod or how are you dealing with Fmin value for some NPCs? For Piper , Currie and Cait. I used this mod which kinda fix problems with face distortion for Piper, Cait and Currie, when reloading a save or cell reset. But now I encountered with problem, that Piper and Cait became invisible...I can speak with them and in workshop menu I see, that both they have stretched hairs...Recycleactor command helped to get them visible, but now I can't apply presets for them...As I understand this is kinda connected with FMIN values, maybe someone can help with this one...Once I already encountered with this one I couldn't find the solution...
subaverage Posted November 28, 2025 Posted November 28, 2025 (edited) I mean to remember that invisibility is a problem when it comes to changing fmin values and I don't know how it might be resovled. But to your three companions I can say that only Piper has a higher fmin value. For her you can get several replacers on Nexus. Cait can be changed normally, but I would always recommend to use this: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21130 and she should be your actual companion (the same is valid when you want to change any follwers through Looks, enu). Otherwise their ai might break. For Curie you need a little trick anyways as you can't change her directly. There are some tutorials on the web. You could also try to make a little plugin with only Piper, change the value and see what happens in game. Edited November 28, 2025 by subaverage
deff. Posted November 28, 2025 Author Posted November 28, 2025 (edited) @subaverage thank you! Yeah, looks like that I broke companions (Cait and Piper)...My bad was when I applied simply .json presets on them, using Showlooksmenu console fix Facial distortion Fmin value mod... I got them back with recycleactor command, but with distorted/stretched hairs. Now I'm trying to find how to deal with new problem... Spoiler Edited November 28, 2025 by deff.
subaverage Posted November 28, 2025 Posted November 28, 2025 (edited) Recycleactor sets them to an early state and can break game progress. Better to load a save from before you changed them. Something to exploding hairs and head meshes on Looksmenu presets: When your preset files have more than one line with "Weights" in it delete every line with "Weights" except the last. The last line is the only one needed. Containing three values. These are for the body triangle. Edited November 28, 2025 by subaverage

After recycleactor command I'm not able to change their appearance...But, as I understood, it's not ok simply apply presets to Piper/Currie/Cait via looksmenu...Because of that damn FMIN value... Hmm, I have this, when opening .json with Notepad Spoiler Edited November 28, 2025 by deff.
