Camera Issues

I've run into an issue with the camera that's rendered Oblivion unplayable. I can only move a few feet in any given direction before the camera automatically switches to the free flying camera.

 

My initial instinct was to blame it on the 3rd person camera mod, but I removed it and it is still occurring. What's worse is that it only just started happening. The 3rd person camera mod was working fine, then it wasn't.

 

Has anyone run into this issue before?

For starters, which 3rd person camera mod are you refering to. For seconds, people here generally have an easier time helping identify the cause of random stuff like this if you post the load order of all your activated mods.

 

A wild guess says it may have been a conflict between two mods argueing over whether the free camera should be on or off which caused... a problem.

Like I said, this problem only popped up recently. My camera, mods and all, were working fine until they weren't, and I can't think of any changes I made that might have caused it.

There could have been a potential for conflict that didn't arise until both camera mods tried to do something with the camera at the same time. Or any other mod that manipulates the camera. I'm not familiar with everything on your list. Have you tried deactivating the fly camera mod, making a new save without it, exiting game, reloading camera mod, reloading new save?

It seems that the camera only decouples twice upon booting the game and then it's fine. So it's not as crippling as I initially though, but it's still bizarre and annoying.

I had a similar thing happen after I messed about with my skeletons. When going to first person, it would switch back to third person for a second. Going to first person again after that usually works fine.
