Sims 4 Will Not Load With Mods

I have over 12,000 mods and my sims will load to the suburb page but not going into the selected sim game. I think that maybe I have loaded Mods that will not allow my sims to load properly. I have done a minor mod file of wicked whims and sex parts and it runs but as soon as I re-enter the mods it will not load.

Since one of the last updates, the way mod errors present themselves is different than it used to be. Now it takes you to the world selection- basically telling you “hey there’s a critical issue”.

I would honestly go through and delete any script mod from 2024 or earlier.

You won’t have the time to go through every single mod and check it for updates.

if most of those 12k are CC, you’re in a better spot but some of those update too.

A mod manager could help you expedite the updating process.

You have quite a task ahead of you. I assume that if you know you have 12,000 mods, those mods aren't organized. I would first check every single script mod you have by taking it out and seeing if the game loads as that's the most likely culprit. But as the above said, if it doesn't load, then it's a piece of CC, which can cause problems. In my experience, build mode CC can be prone to breaking.

I heavily recommend that once you find the issue, you start taking time out of your day, perhaps an hour a day or so, to organize your mods. I too have a LOT of CC and mods and once I organized them (though I'm still not finished), troubleshooting became much faster.

I have quite a large mod collection as well, not quite that significant but this happened to me a few months ago and it was frustrating. Thankfully, it didn't take me long to find the problem, it was the AEP mod, as that hadn't been updated since 2024. Thankfully, in the last fortnight Ksuihuh has updated it and it works again, but all I needed to do at the time was remove it and the game worked again.

If you have that mod and its not been updated by yourself recently I'd start with that, but if not or that isn't the only issue, as others have said, you are going to have to focus on script mods from 2024 or earlier, those are the primary culprits
