Mod Recommendations for a Newish Player?

I say "newish" because I did play the game before but that was way back during the beta. Was recently reminded that this game exists while watching Mr.Streamer's Terraria lets play when he briefly mentioned it which also made me remember hearing talk of a sex mod akin to the Rimjobworld mod for Rimworld. So here I am.

I know now that Sexbound Reborn is the "go to" nsfw mod, but was wondering if there were any other mods that people highly recommend to add as well as any cool or useful sfw mods from the workshop? Could be mods that adds more functionality or visuals to Sexbound, new races, nsfw items like lewd posters and toys, QOL changes, gameplay additions/changes, clothing/hair/accessories etc. Also does sexbound allow you to play as a futa?

The usual stuff that I think is specifically listed in sexbound reborn's OP? Be sure to check that. Get the nude mod stuff of course: GROTU. Avoid saucy unless you like that style.

I like cutebound style stuff, so I flavored everything for that.

Check the list of race patches for sexbound for races that look good to you. Lamia is nice. Saturnians with the "Make Saturnians a Cute Yet Buggier Race" variation is good. Kitsunes are good. Neki are great. Mechineki too.

Avoid Frackin Universe, it's very bloated and overly complex in a way that you probably wouldn't be into, plus none of the races in it are compatible with Sexbound. You can run incompatible stuff alongside Sexbound Reborn, but I think you're be disappointed by the experience.

 

The tentacles mod on here is good. Surprisingly more to it than I first thought, with several custom dungeon missions.

Look at the Steam workshop and check top rated stuff, there's some cool things. Knights something or other. Astral something or other. Things.

Yeah the links for the compatible mods wasn't working for me earlier but they seem to be working now. Thanks for the suggestions.

I've been reading a lot about Frackin Universe and the drama surrounding it lol. I like the idea of doing research to unlock stuff but it doesn't look like its implemented all that well so I'll avoid it. I Saw that mechs were added to the game at some point and almost thought they were added by the FU mod which just goes to show how out of the loop I've been with this game.

Looking at the mods on the workshop is a bit overwhelming but if I can get 500 mods to work for Rimworld then I can do it for Starbound. Arcana looks interesting.

Just curious, do you load regular Starbound or use Open Starbound? If not I recommend it. To me it makes the game run better (plus some mods rely on it for cool effects. <3)

 

Also I forget if its on the workshop but I want to vote for the Virtua planets. Fantastic if you just want a mostly blank canvas to create a base on.

First time hearing of Open Starbound, but I'll look into it. Virtua planets looks like it'd be fun for a themed base with the right blocks and furnishings.
