Devious devices not working

If i equip any devious devices item it displays it on my character but doesnt actually do anything, like limiting my movement or sum. Anyone encountered this issue before? I am on ae 1.6.1170 and using vortex mod manager, can upload modlist if needed

i've got it to show for my player and do the movement but not for npc's if they equip it makes them invisible not the head or hands or feet but other then that works fine
