How are you all uploading sims now?

I'm trying to go back to uploading sims on LL, and I've noticed everybody has shifted over to uploading the actual files on different sites. I have no interest in starting a patreon or anything, but I just wanted to see if anything on LL has changed or if there's a reason nobody is direct uploading their files anymore.

File size limitations is the biggest reason I believe, also there was something a while ago that was mentioned about issues with uploading and slow download speeds.

Yeah. I looked at the file upload limit and it's shrank significantly since my last upload. Interesting.

I imagine the shrinkage in file size could be due to others complaining about sims being larger than several gigabytes vs megabytes and other breaking their sims into multiple compressed files due to over sized merged files. 
 

If you are wanting to upload your creations without making a Patreon page you could use Google Drive if you have a Google account just be sure to disable the download limits. SFS has a 256mb file size limit. That’s an options as well. If you need an invite code for there let me know and I’ll DM you one.

Yeah, with the changes in CC, its gotten harder to keep file sizes down, even with unmerging and cleaning files. Could you please sent me an SFS invite?

Bit late to this but for me who has been creating content ready to post for the last few months (sim packages, images, short & long videos, stories) I was shocked to realise some of it likely isn't gonna fit here. I'd planned to set up a patreon anyway but I'm gonna have to funnel most of it through there. I''ve set up a paid video hosting site to embed from there as well as I'm very quickly gonna end up in the realm of gigabytes and gigabytes of footage
