HotSwap – A Quick-Switch Expansion Mod for Costume Customizer

This module does not include any CC clothing; the showcased content uses Maasim’s paid outfits.

 

 

Hi everyone! I’m Potter, and this is my first post on LoversLab, so I’m a little nervous (nervous.jpg).

My native language is Chinese, but I can also communicate in English, so feel free to discuss in either language.

 

This mod is an expansion tool for Costume Customizer (CC) that allows you to quickly switch between costumes and accessories.

I named it HotSwap (just a random name 😅). From the video, you should get a general idea of what it does.

Note: HotSwap does not conflict with Costume Customizer Mod.

 

 

If you’d like me to add more features, or if you run into any bugs, just let me know!

 

Installation Steps

1. Install Costume Customizer Mod
2. (Optional) Install CC costumes.

3. Download DOAXVV_HotSwap_UI_ver2.7z and extract it to any folder.

4. Launch DOAXVV_HotSwap.exe from the extracted folder. If issues occur, try running it as an administrator.

5. Select the location of the Costume Customizer Mod (the HotSwap.ini file will be automatically installed into the Costume Customizer Mod folder).

6. Start DOAXVV.

7. Most importantly, have fun with the game!

 

Please remember to move the settings.json from the old version’s folder into the new version’s folder to preserve your Favorites settings.

 

Please reinstall HotSwap.ini to ensure support for the latest features.

Before closing the game, please remember to press F10 to save your outfit presets.

  • Added Outfit Presets

    • Added 10 saveable outfit presets, allowing players to quickly switch between different outfit configurations.

    • The Outfit Presets feature can be enabled or disabled from Slot Menu under Settings.

    • Before closing the game, please remember to press F10 to save your outfit presets.

  • Fixed an issue where module positions shifted when there were empty slots.

    • Note: I can’t find any way to stop the focus from switching for now.
    Added customizable transmission delay settings when switching back to DOAXVV.
    • Note: Higher-end PCs can use shorter transmission delay, but this increases the risk of costume swap failures.
  • Added adjustable UI scaling for image and text size.

It seems to work well but I'm having an issue where some of the later entries don't match the selected costume. Is it something to do with the indexing of costume customiser?

.......It is just a little bit inconvenient that every time I press a button on the HotSwap the window somehow change back to the main game since I use fullscreen.

I haven’t tested it on the DMM version, but it should work. HotSwap is just an enhancement made on CC.

Hello, thank you for the wonderful mod.
I tried installing the mod, but while the outfits load in the mod app, they don't appear in the game itself, which is frustrating.
Could it be because it throws an image error when selecting the CCmod file?
Right now, I'm copying the ini file directly from the extracted folder.
If you figure out the cause, please let me know.
I'm using the Japanese DMM version.

The issue is that the downloaded archive does not contain the HotSwap.ini file. In the new version, HotSwap.ini is automatically copied into the CostumeCustomizer folder, so you no longer need to copy it manually. You can try downloading and installing HotSwap again to see if the same problem still occurs.

The issue has been resolved. It seems I wasn't running the app with administrator privileges.

The user experience is truly excellent, but I found myself wishing for a switch to remove accessories and individual parts.
For example, with costumes that include hats, when I want to hide the hat, I currently select a hat part from another empty costume to hide it. Would it be possible to implement this as a feature within the app?
If this is already possible somehow, I apologize.

Right now, HotSwap doesn’t have a feature to save CC mod, but it’s something i might add in the future.

Thank you very much for providing this excellent tool.
I have encountered a couple of issues and would like to report them for your reference.

1. When slot numbers are skipped, the outfit applied does not match the icon displayed.
This issue arises when the slot sequence includes empty entries—for example: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9...
Clicking the 7th icon in the tool results in no action, as that slot is empty. However, clicking the 8th icon applies the outfit from what appears to be the 7th slot.
The more empty slots there are, the greater the misalignment seems to become.
As a temporary workaround, I’ve found that avoiding empty slots helps mitigate the issue.

2. In my environment, when the total slot count is not exactly 480, a large number of “WARNING” messages are generated.
I am currently using CC’s “10pagesimple,” and it seems that these warnings occur because the folder count does not match the expected 480.
Although I attempted to adjust the slot count in hotswap.ini without sufficient technical knowledge, unfortunately this did not resolve the issue.

In the new version 2.1, the first issue has already been fixed.
As for the second issue, I'm afraid there are currently no plans to create separate hotswap.ini for different numbers of slots — sorry about that.

Maybe the “Select Folder” window was too small and covered the button? I went ahead and added a resize feature, so you can try enlarging it.
