Sims won't join others when in other households

So, the issue I have here is that when all of my households sims go to another location to engage in their 'pleasurable activities' with another household, I can't seem to get them to engage with each other. Is there a setting I need to change? I keep getting the {character} refuses to have sex with {character} message.

 

Household 1 > 8 members > all travel to another household with 8 members > Each member of household 1 can have sex with members of household 2 > but household 1 members can't join in on threesomes while someone from household 1 is in an animation.

Check Relationship settings and any jealousy / adultery settings first, then check relationship / sexual interests of each character, if they aren't interested in men / women, they will not have sex with them. My male character sees another male character and only interested in women will refuse a three way.
