Redflyingmonkey Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Hey again. I've read before somewhere here than other people had that thing where you had to load a previous save before being able to load your latest one. I just got it too (that's what computer sex without finger condoms do to you) and I really want to cure it. Yeah I know, it's still playable, but it's really, really reaaaaaally annoying. It's like time travelling except there's no sexy red haired girl cosplaying as a policewoman trying to get into my Tardis. Which I don't even have. Would've been bearable if I did. Somehow. Almost.
TheDriedFinger Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I don't know of any way to cure it and I highly doubt you can cure it. The best you could do would be to try to clean your save with the save cleaning tool, but, even then, it's probably not going to cure it. For me, I have this problem a lot because I tend to install new plugins part-way into a playthrough. Over time, I've just made it a habit to start a new game (using Live Another Life so I can quickly end character creation) and load my actual save game.
Redflyingmonkey Posted January 17, 2014 Author Posted January 17, 2014 Woah, how many new Dr Whos did you create ?? That's really annoying tho, right ?
Uriel Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Well, i can only help you get a Tardis. Sorry. BTW, do you have ils's or load ctd's?
Redflyingmonkey Posted January 17, 2014 Author Posted January 17, 2014 No ILSes, only CTD and it's only happening from time to time. Papyrus is clean, load order can't get any better, nor any worse, not using free cam on Sexlab. Got a bit of an issue with sexlab submit not working too. Thing is, it's a new Skyrim install and I took a meticulous care in carefully installing everything ... I'll post my load order as soon as I get home tomorrow morning, I forgot to attach it before. Tardis's being downloaded so hard. Making an Amy Pond follower too :<
Uriel Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Nah, i've got that too. I think now that the probability of CTD depends on the amount of NPC's around. If i save in a cell with my character alone, it's a 100% load. If i save in a town, with a bunch of followers around, it's a pain in the ass to load. I usually don't load an older one first. I just try the crashing one again and again, and eventually it loads.

I'm starting to believe it's my HDT setup that's making it hard for my game to follow up on all the collisions it has to enable before starting rendering. But I get the same kind of CTD sometimes when I'm alone in a vanilla cell, wearing vanilla clothes that (should) ease up the process ... I started deleting some mods and starting a new playthrough, I'll see how it goes.
