How to create more clothing with new colors

Hi i found an outfit i like, but it does not really have more textures of it. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/80287?tab=posts

I like the skirt, but i would like to have more of it with different textures. How can i do this? 

 

In my mind i would just cope paste and rename the .nif to v2 for example. Same with textures. But then i think i have to adds them in the esp. Im not sure how to.

That is unfortunately how most people do it making it really annoying when you need to patch a mesh error in every single color individually. The correct way would be to use a TextureSet.
