FPS Drop

i wanted to test out the skyrim 2k mod with the DLC. Before i install the skyrim 2k and was only playing with the DLC i was getting 45-60 FPS, after i install the skyrim 2k mod and turn it on in the mod manager, it drop down to 20-30 FPS. even after i turn off the skyrim 2k mod, its still 20-30 FPS. anyone know why?

I don't use skyrim 2k so I don't know for sure, but here are a few things you can check.

 

1. If the mod uses loose files they may be loading without the need for esps.  Make sure any loose texture files from the mod are removed.

 

2. depending on what mod manager you are using you may have the bsa files (if skyrim 2k uses bsas) checked to be loaded as loose files, again without the need for the esps.

 

You didn't state whether the new textures still appear, but considering you still get a fps drop it sounds like they are still loading.

it did say that most of them are loose files but i aready turn it off in the mod manager, if that dont work then how do i remove it?

Loose files you have to remove completely, turning off an .esp isn't enough

yea i found that out so i just deleted to whole skyrim file and redownload it and its back to mornal now thank guys
