Omnishade Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 The shock boots from Deviously Cursed Loot are inaudible with balanced volume for regular gameplay. I remembered hearing a quite obvious thumping from them in older playthroughs so I started to experiment. Had to reduce everything except Master, Footsteps and Armor to 10% and increase the speaker volume by about two times. Then I can hear them normally. What could cause it? I also have Devious Devices NG but it doesn't come with any sounds for the shock boots. Other sound mods I have: Audio Overhaul + Immersive Sound Compendium (possible with patch) Heels Sound (ofc)
Dorabella Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 I solved the inaudible sounds problem this way . Sounds came out that I didn't know existed😁 I just miss hearing the grass grow 😁

I'd probably have to increase the volume of every file, unless there is a a conflict somewhere, which is what I'm trying to fish for.

The variable is valid for any type of sound emitted Voices, footsteps, ambient sound, and more . You could use Audacity to tweak the volume . The only problem is that you have to do one file at a time. Looking online, I haven't found anything that can affect an folder.

Looking online, I haven't found anything that can affect an folder. Tools -> Macro Manager. It's quite unintuitive though. You need to make sure the export to wav item is last, and its output is hidden away in appdata. Works fine once you figure it out.
