Trait(Personality) mod, need help

I've done a couple of things to this and similar mods, but I'm looking to be able to use it properly with EdB Prepare Carefully. I normally apply it to all my starting colonists and let the kids inherit the personality trait. However the AI doesn't use the trait ever(iirc), thus making it a gene would alleviate that.
