are strap-ons broken for everyone or just me?

so I've been trying to look this up and I see that a lot of people are saying that Amazodans strapon dildo isn't working anymore, it does seem like it hasn't been updated in a couple years now, and it has completely disappeared from the game for me.  But, I also have Noirs strap on, and it shows up under 'select sims strap on' and it auto equips during sex animations but there's something wrong with the visuals.  any sim that puts it on gets a semi transparent white overlay from their hips to their ankles.  anyone else seeing this? if there's a way to fix it either in game or using TS4 Studio that is beyond my current scope of knowledge.

Noir's strap-on also causes the same texture glitch in my game, so it's not just you.

 

I had some problems with Azmodan's strap-on, but it began working perfectly for me once I downloaded the .zip file from wicked.cc (here). The files in the direct download from LL appear broken (they have the question mark texture as if they're missing a mesh, in my game and S4S).
