Lumpinou's WTDs

A question for anyone who might know, I couldn't find the answer easily with Google. I like playing with Lumpinou's WTDs for story purposes, but in a high sex environment (like a brothel/strip club), disease can get spread very easily. Does anyone know if NPC's will eventually treat their treatable WTDs on their own? At one point, every single one of the clients at my strip club had the clap, so I cured it for most of them using cheats. I assumed one or more of them brought it in, infected all my dancers, and they spread it to the rest. But it got me to wondering if I need to do this every once in a while to not end up with an entire save file of infected sims, or if some of the NPCs will resolve the problem on their own. Anyone know?
