Anunya Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 I'm still plugging away at my new rather large (for me) mod list and have just gotten to the "adjust all the million MCM settings" stage... Something that happens semi-regularly now is that, after a bit, the MCM main menu appears completely blank. That is, all the different MCM menus that were there before disappear and there's nothing there at all. Saving and reloading doesn't fix the issue. Does anyone have any suggestions for: Figuring out what's actually causing the issue? How to fix it? It's not super consistent right now, so I haven't figured out any repro steps yet. Searching the net I see suggestions that it might be a poorly implemented MCM from a mod... but I have a lot of mods, so it's hard to guess which one it might be. Another suggestion is that it's an outdated SkyUI or SKSE install, but I should be up to date (and those suggestions are years out of date). I'm on 1.6.1170 and at first look my build seems stable enough (but I only just finished the "install mods, run around a bit and make sure the game works" stage). Any suggestions will be appreciated

If it is a HUD, you should receive the SKYUI error. If so, I suggest taking a look at the various HUD configuration files. Or, some HUD that conflicts with another one 1
Justinof Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 I had this same problem few weeks ago, the cause was a massime script lag from Papyrus engine. I have solved it adding this line in Skyrim.ini , under the [Papyrus] section: iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=500000 Be aware that if you are using MO2, the Skyrim.ini file to edit is inside the ...ModOrganizer2\Skyrim SE\profiles\Default folder.

Been looking for a fix myself for a few days and this worked for me, thank you 1
