Reset Family Planning Enhanced's MCM to get the MCM working.

I install all the needed files for Family Planning Enhanced; Advanced animation framework, Animation packs, AAF Violate, Script Extender, CBBE, Mod Configuration Menu.

 

I launch the game with F4SE;  Everything loads up and launches properly, but once the game is up and running, The game says "Reset Family Planning Enhanced's MCM to get the MCM working." ....What? Says the same about AAF_Violation. "Reset the Mod Configuration Menu to get the Mod Configuration Menu to work"??? MCM is a separate item. How do I reset FPE and AAF_V's MCM to use MCM?

 

It says "Reinstall MCM."  I do so, no effect.  I reinstalled the mods, no effect.  I tried launching without the mods enabled.  No effect.  So in desperation I come here to beg for help.

 

I tried uploading an image with the errors on it and the forum refuses to upload the error message screenshot.

Are you on pre next-gen or next-gen? In any case F4SE and all F4SE dependent mods have to match your game version. Looking on the MCM modsite it seems that the next-gen version can cause problems.

I am unsure.  how do I check game version?  I feel like a complete moron asking this question.  I can check mod versions easily enough...

You could open the Fallout 4 game folder. In case you have the game from Steam and did not change the default installation paths it's here: 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4. Then right click on the Fallout4.exe, afterwards on properties and in the pop-up on Details. If the file version shows something like ...163 you are on pre next-gen and when it's something like .....984 you are on next-gen.

It seems that you did not right-click on the Fallout4.exe. This should look like this:

I installed MCM 4.0 (For Nextgen) And that fixed everything, so apparently everything was Nextgen except for MCM!   Either way thank you for your help!
