If you have Schlongs of Skyrim installed, it may be trying to "Schlongify" the top.

 

Set your gender to male in SOS, choose a schlong type (ignore warnings, it's okay to do this) and then equip the top and under "Player/NPC" in the MCM menu, set the top to revealing.

 

Wish there was a way for it to automatically set all tops to revealing, but hey. it is what it is.
