Cannot work out how to get worn items to not be invisible

So, I installed a large swathe of Devious Devices mods. Using Vortex, because when I tried using Mod Organizer it was a massive, confusing mess that I could not easily navigate - even if everyone seems to swear by it, Vortex is just vastly more usable for me so I'm sticking with that if I can. Anyways, the game booted up and runs fine with all of those mods installed and active. Some of the items also work fine - in what I've played thus far I've had blindfolds, armbinders, some high heels and gloves, plugs, and at least one cat suit all functional. They're visible, they're worn, all good.

The problem is that then other items - a different set of heels, what I think was either a different catsuit or a hobble dress - gets put on, and the are turns invisible. And I don't mean "see the body underneath" invisible, I mean I can see the terrain on the other side of my character invisible. They're still there, they can be interacted with and all that, but I cannot see them. I ran Bodyslide and pressed the Batch Build button before encountering this; I went back out of the game and ran it again after encountering this issue, multiple times. No effect. I tried looking up possible solutions on my own and found mention of some button to the top right of the Bodyslide screen, but I can't work out which button and all the ones I find up there I feel more liable to break things worse rather than fixing them if I meddle with them. I found something about using the outfit selector to try to fix issues like this, but while I can pull up different outfits in it - many plastered with squares reading "No Image" - I don't know what I'm doing there either.

Generally here I just feel stuck and I don't know what to even attempt, never mind what to do. I'm not deeply tech-literate and I'm very new to this, so if someone could give me a basic step-by-step guide on what to do here I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.

Pink/Purple means linked mod texture not found

Invisible could mean .nif file not found (mod links to file you still need to create).

If you downloaded the mod, it may just need you to create the bodyslide as many clothing mods -to save download space- don't include completed (created) files.

From the devious devices page:

4. And don't forget to use Bodyslide to build the assets. Half of all user support requests are caused by them not running Bodyslide. RUN BODYSLIDE!!!!

Except I ran Bodyslide the only way I know how, and it seems to have worked for some things. Just not others. So if there's a problem with how I ran Bodyslide (ran it from Votex, pressed "Batch Build" in the bottom left, let it complete), then I need a step-by-step how-to guide on what I need to do to run it "properly," because it is extremely non-obvious to me what the issue even is.

Perhaps check if you have the Assets/Resources that some mods require you to download separately.

You might have just missed some assets from one of the mods.

I am reasonably certain that I got all such assets and dependencies that I could find, but I suppose I can double check that once I get back to it.

Items disappearing when others are equipped is called slot masking.  DD dynamically controls this to prevent excessive clipping.  The MCM section for "Devices Underneath" controls this function.

I have a blog that explains the topic in detail, linked in sig.

I have checked the mods that investigation lead me to suspect were the likely sources of the items that turn themselves and the character wearing them invisible and confirmed that I have all dependencies and resources that are listed for them, so that's seems likely to not be the issue. I have searched for this "Devices Underneath" section in MCM and not found it. I did find a "Devices Hidden" section that lists items including the numbers in the linked blog post, but playing with that extensive and confusing set of menus has had little discernible effect. The invisibility continues with no apparent solution.

My personal best guess, utterly ignorant as I am, remains that I have somehow missed something with Bodyslide that has not been adequately explained to me, but goodness knows what.
