A very-work-in-progress attempt at creating a mod.

 

Current content:

- You can get Alice to join you as a companion. She has little content as of now, only the ability to ask for sex.

- After talking to Ghost, you can talk to Lacey about her. Then you can put Ghost in her place. (Mojave Outpost).

- A quick and repeatable event if you have both Alice and Cass as your companions.

- You can talk to Trudy about how her saloon is going. This quest is very much unfinished.  (Goodsprings).

- After visiting her during Trudy's quest, you can talk to Jas about the reason you came. This quest is very much unfinished. (Sloan).

 

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Is this gonna be compatible with Tryout? 
Also, would there be a plan for the Powder Gangers to be involved in Trudy's quest?

As far as I'm able to I'm not changing stuff, just adding. So in that regard it will probably be compatible. If if you encounter any incompatibilities let me know and I'll try to fix them.

I'm not really planing that far ahead (bad idea, I know) so we'll have to see.

Haven't tried it yet, but it looks good! Just a question though, I have the Pinup mods from VaanKnight which are appearance replacers and Im using one for Trudy and Ghost which is also included on your mod, Do you think they are compatible? Anways thank you and goodluck for the mod!

I make no changes to the way Ghost looks, so she shouldn't be a problem. Doing Trudy's quest do change her outfit though. Unless VaanKnights mod include a way to change it back doing so might be a bit awkward.

 

Right now I'm doing the outfit-change by removing her default outfit from Trudy's inventory then adding a new. I realize now that's probably a dumb way to do it when people mod the NPCs look/outfit so I'll look into changing it another way.

 

Edit: Do you know if VaanKnights mod changes the New Vegas outfit or add a new one? If it just changes the old one then there should be no problems.

No its not a dumb way at all, you did what you wanted to do and it's up to people who will use your mod to adjust, and it's up to you to either help them by giving them option if they wanted the changes you did so "us" people who change NPCs looks/outfits will have the option to do it or nah, you can think of it as a compatibility option or something xD.

Btw VaanKnight's mods do change their looks and outfit.

Because siding with the PG in Tryout would turn the saloon into a brothel thus overriding the dialogue iirc(Haven't played for months so i gotta check it sometime when it doesn't crash), so i had the idea that there could be some sort of middle road quest where an arrangement of sorts could be made, but that's just me thinking out loud

As of now the mod doesn't check what you choose in the vanilla Goodsprings questline. That means my mod will still work, but the dialogue won't really make sense if you choose to side with the Powder Gangers. I might decide to fail my quest if you choose to do so. Making a middle road quest could be interesting, but as I'm really not comfortable with the GECK, I'm unsure how much I want to mess with that ...

It's a good idea though, so I'll have it in the back of my mind.

Glad you think so! I just updated it, and have some more things I want to add, so there will probably be more updates soon-ish.

This will probably never be a project I'm working anything other than on-off on, so while I'm not planning on abandoning it, don't expect too active a development.

That sounds good! And yeah, i understand that working with the GECK can be as fun as dragging yerself through coarse sand
