Skyrim modding always daunting and in the end it crashes anyway -> any mod collections to get a good base?

I can't count the hours i put into modding skyrim only for it to then crash or run super unstable and then abandoning it.

With more re-releases and 2 main versions and the whole "Not everything can be on nexus" it becomes increasingly difficult to figure out what works and where to get everything, especially since a lot of threads are not maintained anymore, so you dont often see what should work together.

Is there any mod collections that give you a good base to start modding lewdstuff into it?

Collections with 1,000-2,000 individual mods are supposed to be a good foundation for a newbie to modding games... a newbie who has no idea how to resolve mod conflicts.

Mod collections also contain mods that do NOT have permission from their authors to appear in such a collection... or the author says, "You can include them, but I do NOT provide support for mod conflicts when I update my own mod."

You can't count the hours spent modding anymore??

Yes, and - for me, it's countless days... I now count in weeks and months... because I take the time to read descriptions and discussion posts of mods - even "abandoned" ones... and sometimes a candidate like that fails.

I'm currently upgrading my Sykrim from 1.5.97 (SE version) to 1.6.1170 (latest AE version)... using this guide as inspiration, but incorporating my own ideas.

Well, its not that i never delved deep into reading and figuring it out, but my first big ass modding went byebye when my Hard drive broke. Then years later it already got more complicated and i started to delve deep again. Only issue was, that even with careful reading and whatnot, game was unstable as fuck with no way to figure out what caused it.

Now a long time has passed, so i start with basically zero knowledge once more.

Counting hours was a figure of speech, i dont know if it was days or weeks even.

Your guide link is a white square for me without any link.

Even the base game isn't really stable, and only mods can fix this.

While "bugdesta" allows modifications to their games, they don't provide any useful tools for this... the "CK" is a nightmare for mod authors.

The link leads to a page here in the forum.

The section on base mods, in particular, helps players get a stable game in the first place - without having to change anything about the appearance of the character or NPC, or even add additional quests or items to the game.
