amenshawn Posted July 12, 2025 Posted July 12, 2025 I'm starting to rebuild from scratch and need some advice on what physics mods work best for breasts slightly larger than the character's head. My plan is to use CBBE for the body and clothing because my primary modding focus in getting Family Planning Enhanced to run. So, if someone here could point me in the right direction for getting my physics up and running, maybe toss in an example of a load order that works well, I can handle everything else. Thanks in advance!
kannz Posted July 12, 2025 Posted July 12, 2025 (edited) doesnt family planning work with fusion girl? last time i tried getting physics working it was kind of only half working. it was working in animations but not as you walk around. anyways i would try OCBP OCBPC or CBP oh also CHCBBEP. i dont know about their compatibility with cbbe so i would read first. make sure to get a preset for the physics. using fusiongirl. i use OCPB and this preset. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/39195?tab=description Edited July 12, 2025 by kannz 1
nmagod Posted July 12, 2025 Posted July 12, 2025 I have OCBPC you should really use a physics enabled body for it though you'll also want clothing that supports physics properly 2

CHCBBEP is made for CBBE. I use it myself. It has a successor here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/95009 which contains the original shape data and a version with lesser jiggle. Using this mod (same with CBP) means that you can build a body with jiggle out of the box, but for clothings you need conversions or make the conversions yourself. You can not simply switch it on and off. 2
amenshawn Posted July 14, 2025 Author Posted July 14, 2025 Update... The good news - I managed to get 3BBB physics to work and the clothing options seem to be working with physics... The bad news - The physics look absolutely horrible. Breast movement is wrong on so many levels. They have no bounce, instead they just sort of float around on their own during movement, then settle back to neutral. I figure I'll start over tomorrow and see if I can get CHCBBEP to work instead of 3BBB. If that fails to work any better I may give Fusion Girl a try and see if that works. Thanks for pointing me toward a few options!
subaverage Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 CHCBBEP is not compatible with any other physics mod. So whatever you used you need to uninstall it. As the mod makes a bit more work and some people had difficulities to get it to work I wrote a little guide some time ago. It shows the possibilities with and without "Unique Player and Followers Redux" for bodies and outfits. English is not my motherlanguage, but I hope it's understandable and might help if you want to. Guide It's for game version 163. I hope it works on 984, too. 1

I've got a few other things I want to try before I reinstall and try from a clean slate again, but if I end up needing to go that route I'll definitely give your guide a look. Thanks for the assist! amenshawn Posted July 15, 2025 Author Posted July 15, 2025 Turns out CHCBBEP did the trick. Skeleton weights all work well even with xxl sized breasts. Granted, it took removing all my files and reinstalling the game, but hey, it worked great! I'm just hopeful that it works well with FPE for body morphing purposes. I'll update here once I see if that combination works!
plutocene Posted July 15, 2025 Posted July 15, 2025 Okay, now I'm curious, can anyone please upload a clip of a properly configured CBBE/3BA breast movement? It baffles me why you wouldn't use Fusion Girl.

In the future I may give FG a try, but for now things run with physics in the animations and that's all I'm really looking for on that side of the equation.
amenshawn Posted July 20, 2025 Author Posted July 20, 2025 Everything seems to be working well! CHCBBEP handles breast physics well during animations and FPE Redux is working great so far. My only complaint is that for some reason the lactation overlays aren't working for Wasteland Dairy even though I configured everything in the MCM. Small issue I can live with.
subaverage Posted July 21, 2025 Posted July 21, 2025 Considering how the mods works I doubt that CHCBBEP itself is the reason. But it is an older mod. So in case you took Cherry's or Panundrum's Bodyslide files to create your body you could testwise add the additional bones to an actual CBBE body (without physics) by hand and build this body, too. Regarding FG: For me the advantages of FG are not enough to throw half to 2/3 of "my" outfits away or try to make conversions. That's of course only a personal opinion. 1
