Is there any rig for making SL animations in blender?

I want to learn animating for Skyrim and I have a little experience with blender. So far I've been successful in making a dynamic idle(that works in the game) using an hkx addon for blender that let's you import/export in hkx, so I can probably skip the cumbersome hkx tools process. Is there a good paired rig for making animations somewhere?

The one I used has one but it's very simple with few bones. I don't know if it's up to the task. It's from here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/118525?tab=posts&BH=11

i mean its not like u can increase the deforming bone count if thats what u mean . all u need is a rig with as much automation as possible to make animating easier

im kind of in the same boat .. except im on SE and tried several times every now and then but gave up after a couple days because i cant find a plugin that would work :/

i'll give the one u posted a try since it updated from last time i used it

The rig I linked might do the trick then. If you try the plugin from that mod, make sure to read the readme and set the skeleton path to the correct path for your setup when exporting, or link to the xpskeleton in the HKX Exporter folder. I found this out after searching for the error in the comments.

I'm also on SE btw. Just posted in the wrong forum. 😄

yea i gave it a quick test drive . it has fk/ik snapping which is what i'd miss the most

u could always use another rig as a controller if u want with constraints to be non-destructive

i had a problem with loading in animations from both SE or oldrim

thought i'd start with editing anims so i would at least have the same duration so i wont need to edit audio cues or what not

i dont really remember what the problem was exactly but i'll try again and hope it finally works ^^

export works great ^^

thx for this post

this opens a lot of possiblities ^^ time to get animating

sadly import doesnt work .. i tried so many anims but it always gives me the " Exactly 0 or 0 Armatures must be selected " error mentioned in the mod posts page

oh well

Made an account to ask this same exact question, glad to see someone else had the same idea! I just finished my first animation pack for OStim (shameless plug) working with 3ds Max and so very desperately want to switch over to Blender for a more sane workflow... But, there appears to be no active paired rigs that lend themselves well to OStim/SL animation development. I've tried fiddling with the one you linked (it thankfully has a paired version), but had quite a bit of trouble, especially with importing penis meshes onto the bodies.

Would love to hear if other animation creators out there are using Blender and where they are getting their rigs (Mike's Rig, which appears to be the most recent Blender Skyrim rig people were using for NSFW animations, is no longer publicly available?), or maybe even just a hand-holdy guide on creating such a rig from an existing one like the one mentioned here. At this point I'm so sick of 3ds Max that I'd be willing to commission someone to get me out of this personal hell :bawling:
