Replace body when wearing outfit?

Hi folks, I've been digging around for an answer and haven't found anything specific to my objective. I want a separate nude body and clothed body - both are just base nude bodies, but with changes to some sliders. I think the issue is that some outfits replace the nude body with an outfit-specific body, and some just sit on top of the default nude body. Is there a way to modify a piece of clothing that does not replace the nude body so that it does replace it?

 

The closest I got was adding a reference body and exporting to NIF with reference, but the result was that the outfit body and default nude body were clipping through each other. I feel like I'm one step away from the solution. How do I get rid of that default nude body when I'm wearing the outfit?
