Karkhel Posted July 4, 2025 Posted July 4, 2025 Anyone knows how to backport behavior files? I tried to look up the instructions online but I can't really find it, I know fnis for modders is involved but I have no idea how to apply the readme to existing behavior files to backport them. This mod only has 2 files I would be very grateful, mod author gave permission for somebody to convert the files as I understood the mod page. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/72085
Kastagir Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 (edited) You can't backport behavior files. You need to generate new ones with the FNIS tool for LE. The mod you linked to doesn't use behavior files. It uses custom conditions using DAR or OAR. I tested the animation in the LE portion of the installer and it is not converted to LE so it doesn't work on LE. I converted the animation in the SE portion of the installer to LE and added it to FNIS Spells and it does indeed work. If you want to use the animation on its own you can just replace one of the FNIS cyclic animations that are built into "FNIS Spells" by renaming mt_idle.hkx to match the FNIS cyclic .hkx file you want to replace. You could then invoke the animation/idle through Poser Hotkeys Plus, for example. However, it is a rather rough animation with some wild verts. The author doesn't seem to be working on this as the last upload was nearly 3 years ago. If you need help converting the one idle animation to LE, let me know or I can just send it through direct message. I don't want to publicly post someone else's animations here without personally receiving permission. Edited July 5, 2025 by Kastagir
