mtg: arena modding

figured its about dang time modding for mtg arena came to loverslab,
its pretty easy to replace textures for it. only requiring special k and an image editing software (i recommend paint.net)

 

1.  find a picture you wish to replace a texture with.
2. after launching the game either through the special k launcher or while having the injector running, pressing control+shift+backspace will open a window in-game.
3.  under direct3d 11 settings there will be a red button called render mod tools. the window it opens is how you extract textures/find texture ids.
4.  when a texture is on screen, clicking refresh textures should put it in the column. once you find the one you wish to replace, click dump texture.
5.  in the 1st window, click file, browse texture assets, dumped textures.
6. .take the picture in step one and make it fit the dimensions of the dumped texture. remember to flip the texture vertically before saving as a dds file.
7.  put the finished replacement in the inject/textures folder. it can be found by clicking file, browse texture assets, injectable textures in window 1.
8.  make sure theres a easy way to tell what texture is replacing what. every now and then, the ids change and it breaks things. knowing what was supposed to replace what makes fixing it so much faster and easier. either a texture list or a named filing system is recommended.

Even though you can already download this from the Undertow thread, I'll cross-post the two main packs for convenience. Most of the stuff posted prior are already included.
