So I just reinstalled Fallout 3 to play it (I never finished the game yet!) and I noticed that one of the best modders, earache, was just banned from Nexus for some stupid reason. I can't get a mod of his, and a bunch of other mods require it...

 

Does anyone have this mod -

A guy posted a mod that makes Cass and Veronica a "shojo" race that looks like children, which are incidentally strippable.  Since that has the potential to have some really icky and illegal interfaces with my mod, I wasn't jazzed about it's existence, and in the comment section I wrote something like "Is shojo code for pedophile?"

 

TheVampireDante, that overzealous sack of crap, bans me and says something like "This is trolling.  Begone troll!"  The Nexus isn't returning my attempts to contact them so I just went ahead and made a new account.

I don't see how that warrants banning, but if I were the author of that mod, i'd probably be pissed about a comment like that as well, though I don't see why you'd get banned for it, it's no where near as annoying and trollish as the assholes who keep saying "anime mods are gay" or "so this is what weaboos fap to huh?" under the comments section of a few of the anime themed mods, who don't seem to ever draw any attention from the staff. At most all they should have done was a simple "please don't do anymore" but I guess it's far from the first time the nexus staff have been unreasonable in their enforcement.

I know I probably pissed the modmaker off, but that was kind of my goal.  Anime styled or no, I don't support someone who is going to turn two characters that are affected by popular adult mods into strippable children.

 

It was pretty clear TVD didn't do any checking into my background before dropping the ban - or if he did, he didn't like what I was doing on the Nexus.  If he put any thought into it, he either loves the shojo mod or hates mine and used that for his decision.  If he didn't put any thought into it, he's probably some powerless dweeb in real life that gets his validation from lording over strangers on the internet.

yeah but you gotta remember, not everyone who uses that mod will have your mod installed as well, if everyone thought about the bad that can be done if there mod was used in conjunction with someone else's mod and used that as a reason not to release their mod, that wouldn't be very good for the community as a lot of people would miss out, just like some of the people on nexus who don't support lovers, would probably be pissed if they knew that their mod is used in conjunction with a mod that facilitates rape, possibly involving loli. Just saying man, don't mean to offend you but there was something wrong with what you did but it was far from what I would call bannable.

Do you know what he got banned for ?? he was constantly spammed by people who don't read his readme and kept bothering him that his mod broke there game. In slice of anger he said something about there mental capacity. and that got him banned.. His post is still there..

Yeah Fallout adult mods makers are being totally wtfpwned by the mods there. We need to attract the adult mod makers posting there to here. If we could get adult mods in progress here from some of the great minds there, it'd be awesome and alot less restricted in terms of tiny technicalities.

 

Although I won't lie, the kiddy stuff absolutely HAS to stay off this forum. Some peeps will argue the moral stuff, but the legal stuff is bad and we gotta keep the forum open and out of trouble.

 

Anyways...we should try to hunt down some big names in adult mods and get em here!

The biggest problem I have with the Nexus forums is that most of the time, they make you look guilty until proven innocent. And because I used to help with technical until I got warned out of the blue for some trumped up reason, I think it is the biggest load of shit ever. I asked about Earache in order to get permission to use his stuff. They said no and kicked me out. After that, I gave up modding for New Vegas and only help out with troubleshooting which isn't easy as well.

 

And honestly, anything porno is already cutting a fine line there. Eventually, there won't be anything good for that site soon.

To be able to download, you need to register, get 30 posts and then get approved by a moderator. But honestly it's more than that. It's a good community, they help you if you got some mod problems, they got tutorial to mod your own stuff, they got some rare mods and plus the moderators aren't a bunch of douchebags. Be sure to read the rules, they show no mercy for that.

That Pile of Shit is also the douchebag who banned me, Aria, Mad, Scottt and every single member that I was once teamed up with. Aria was unbanned by Darkone but she no longer mods, shares mods or links for that matter as a result of that pile of shit.

 

When I bitched about my own ban and sent copies of the emails containing permissions. I was never given any kind of reply either on that subject, they did however reply about other mods I bitched about and cited as examples in the same email stating "we no longer hand out bans unless we can prove the content contains copywrite violations."

 

FFS I had permissions and was perma banned, the other guy ripped daz content rather blatantly too, even admits it but his mods are still there. I guess because my own was an adult mod and a BU Armor and his are house mods

yup thats why it went down. he banned me then deleted that mod but left my other mods up. like i was just supposed to let them have my hair conversions after being banned. So those at least were removed at my request.

I've never noticed a HUGE trend in modders releasing alpha builds and going "this is a test, you'll need to download it to find out!  Do it quick, it'll be gone in a couple days then you have to wait for the finished product!"  The problems with that is (A) it's a hype trick, and no one gets hyped about random mods from teenagers going on summer vacation ( no one is going to download a mod without a description and © no one gives a fuck.

In all honesty, I took a look on their site and there isn't really much you can do. Majority of the posts are those who are trying to get the 30 posts to get to the downloads. And the download section is pretty pathetic. A few armours and a few removed mods off Nexus and that's it.

 

I was expecting a lot more in terms of content but obviously F3Underground wanted to maintain that exclusivity to the modders. I'm not saying that is bad but open up people to mod instead of getting people to download a mod...
