Lunas guide

I'm following Lunas guide to modding skyrim (the new guide) and all goes well until "Mfg fix) at which point my game launches, loads then CTD in 5 seconds.  Does anyone have an idea why?  Do I need the original Mfg first (which Luna does not mention), then the Mfg fix?  Or have I placed it wrong?  I'm following Lunas load order.

Thanks

quick checks

which version of Skyrim are you running? I'm going to guess v1.6.1170?

for mfg fix, I'm going to guess you mean https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11669?tab=files and downloaded v1.6.1?

(in which case, no you don't need the original mfg, presuming that means the old skyrim LE version).

there is an addition to mfg fix, there is https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/133568?tab=files, and that does require mfg fix is already loaded.

Thanks for the replies, Gentlemen.  My version is GOG SE V1.61179.

Is that going to make a difference?

provided you have the right version of SKSE https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/30379?tab=files for GOG and AddressLibrary v11 , though I'd expect things to CTD on start.

looking at the posts for MFG Fix on Nexus :

I can confirm it works on Skyrim SE from GOG, version 1.6.1179.08!
I recommend to use it alongside PC Head Tracking and Voice Type SE, it really bring life to the player character! Install them in this order: PC Head Tracking -> MFG Fix -> Patch for PC Head Tracking (available in MFG Fix's downloads) -> Crash Fix for PC Head Tracking (optional, if you need it) -> MCM Update for PC Head Tracking (optional, allows you to save/load MCM preset).

though that could be adding to the problem by adding other mods.

do you have trainwreck installed? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/106440?tab=files the text file it generates from a crash ends with a useful list of the versions of various plugins/mods.

I think I may just switch to Steam AE.

I'm using same version as you. I have Mfg Fix NG. Everything works without crashes. Only I have both Mfg fix, where are NG overwrites old one.
