PECO Posted July 15, 2025 Posted July 15, 2025 (edited) Hi. Ultimately I don't police translations very often, but sometimes I like to try them out just for fun, to see how my mod looks like in other languages. Question: are you machine translating - or otherwise use auto formatting - on the strings? Because I found so many irregularities with the formatting - sometimes outright breaking the string to the point of not/only partially showing up, or messing up the deliberate sorting order I intended for them. I'll only bring up a few examples, as there are too many to list them one-by-one. Example 1: CE59AAFF [Completed] {0.String} [concluído] {0.String} One of the spaces was moved from to before the string, which is breaking sorting order in the menu. Example 2: CE122002 Can be redeemed for a CinéMinis Figurine of your choice.\n \n
{2.Number} LB
Pode ser resgatado por uma estatueta de cinéminis de sua escolha.\n \n
 {2.number} lb
Due to the auto formatting, this string is broken. Like,
, which is a paragraph alignment html marker, was translated to
, which will obviously not work - there's also a bunch of extra spaces added for some reason. The properly formatted translation should be like this: Pode ser resgatado por uma estatueta de cinéminis de sua escolha.\n \n
{2.Number} LB
There are some more of these "p align" translations littered in there, like:

I'll just use this example of why keeping the original proper formatting is important: There are 5 strings on this example image... at present, 4 of them (CE122B02, CE122002, CE122004, CE99AAFF) are not formatted right. Left: present translation in the file /// Right: Fixed string formatting - how it should look like. Spoiler You can see, that due to the messed up formatting, numbers are not showing, and the menu items are in the wrong order. As a general rule of thumb, nothing that is between <angle brackets> should be translated/altered in any ways. I hope you don't take offence of me writing this, it is not my intention to do so, and in general I am very thankful to everybody who takes their time to translate my mods. My intention is merely to help you by showing what small differences can lead to. take care, p. Edited July 15, 2025 by PECO
