Help Adjusting 3BA BellyBulge

Recommended Posts

Posted

On my older setup, I managed to reduce the belly bulge effect for 3BA. I changed some things around, and now the bellybulge effect doesn't seem to adhere to my female collision file. I can completely disable it, but this is not what I want to do. I want to reduce the effect. I tried lowering the numbers (bulge multiplier, max bulge), i even set them to 0,  but it seems to stay the same. I am currently using all CBPC physics. I swapped to SMP and I believe it might have been working, but the breasts started flapping and stretching uncontrollably. If anyone could remind me what settings I should have or what I need to adjust, please do so. Thanks.

OR if you know how to fix the stretching breasts I will look into that and see if the bulge effect changes. I prefer the CPBC breast physics so I'd like to keep that, if possible.

ABC (just an example) has erroneous BellyBulge values in all its creature configs. The only BellyBulge value that matters is the one in the config file that applies to your character. If you adjusted the others, then it makes sense that nothing changed.

That is because afaik the current version of CBPC still has the bug where the belly collides twice. I've reported this issue to the author long ago. If I remember correctly, the collision shape assigned to the Pelvis gets copied to the HDT Belly node, and setting BellyBulge to 0 only disables one of these.

While that could be purely a SMP problem, just like it could be a purely CBPC issue, I would stress that unless you disabled the CBPC dll by removing it I wouldn't trust it was actually disabled. I don't mean to suggest you didn't know what you're doing, but its extremely easy to miss something that enables these systems through other means. CBPC is far easier to manage than SMP in this regard, but still.

I DON'T know what I'm doing LOL. Modding this game makes me want to rip my hair out because I'm pretty casual with modding. I know a thing here and there strictly because things don't always just work and I try to go in to fix them, which requires a lot of reading and video guides.

I will take a peek in those ones, but I did test human x human and it wasn't working as intended. I'm assuming this is the result of the bug you mentioned. I checked the page and I DID have an older version previously installed, so that would explain a lot (I currently have the latest version installed). Very helpful info, thanks.

Have you found any way to stop this from happening? I tried to comment out some nodes, and I can disable the entire effect through the master configs, even refresh it while the game is still running, but I can't reduce it. The female collision config that comes with 3BA seems almost to be ignored, but nothing should be overwriting it.

My load order is CBBE > CBPC > 3BA

I've seen a couple people say that CBPC should be loaded after 3BA, and I don't think that's quite correct as the mod description says 3BA above all. I did try this though, and nothing changed. The older version I thought was working didn't help. Not sure what I did to break it, or if maybe I just disabled it before and forgot.

If you have belly bulge enabled and you can adjust it, I'd like to know your settings.

I made a workaround for it in my own version of CBPC yes. There is no way around it without a code edit. My version at this point is different enough to require entirely new config files, and I promised the author of CBPC to not compete with his mod.

I'll talk you through it if you want to patch and compile your own version.

Everyone wants their mod to be loaded last, as its the most likely place for it to work properly. You need to make load order decisions on your own, as obviously every mod can't be last. xEdit and your mod manager are your tools when deciding this.

Appreciated but in-depth modding for this game feels like surgery and I feel like I'll really screw up my game. I can live without the bulge effect, so I'll just disable it for now, but I do hope Acro will release a fix soon.
