Humanity is a space-faring civilization with colonies on far flung worlds. Corpus is a moon orbiting the gas giant Callous in the Imperia solar system. It’s 14 502 km in diameter – about 13.2% larger than Earth. Its surface temperatures range from -5 to 39 °C with an average of 12.7 °C. Temperatures inside its cave systems range from 35 to 48 °C with an average of 41 °C. Its surface air is about 17% oxygen – low enough that humans would tire out much quicker and potentially get cell-damage if they do anything physically demanding. Humans on Corpus thus wear a breathing device on the nose while outside their outposts. It’s partially inserted into the nostrils. It also unfolds a mouth mask if you pant. Many also bring a small handheld device measuring their vital parameters and the gas composition of surrounding air. The air in Corpus’s root-filled caverns can vary from 17 to 20% oxygen. Humans need air to be 19 to 23% oxygen for unassisted breathing. The humans also wear somewhat cumbersome pressurized gray space-suits with astronaut helmets while outside the outposts. Corpus’s surface is dominated by 3 biomes: stalk plains, swamps, and freshwater seas. Stalk plains are humid plains covered in Root Corpae stalks. Corpae are Corpus’s equivalent of plants. They come in a wide variety but are all hermaphroditic and stationary with a stem partially covered in gestation sacks. They’re very effective at photosynthesis and reproduce sexually using wind-borne spores that fuse with the gestation sack on a receiving individual. Root Corpae are a form of Corpae crucial to cavern ecosystems as they transfer oxygen and moisture from the surface. Root Corpae mostly consist of underground roots but they each also have thousands of photosynthesizing bamboo-like stalks that grow on the surface. Caverns often form around said roots and these are some of the most bio-diverse ecosystems on Corpus. Tree Corpae are a form of Corpae that grow in swamps. They look like giant mushrooms with tiny branches along the stalk. Corpus’s native animals are collectively known as Corpusites. Female Corpusites lack external genitalia but have internal reproductive organs very similar to those of female mammals, including a womb, ovaries, and a cervix. They ovulate regularly and secrete cervical fluid while mating to help sperm finds its way to the unfertilized egg. All Corpusites are covered in tiny hair-like filaments called Phorostiles that detect and emit pheromones. Female Corpusites emit Estraphores; a pheromone that signals female presence to nearby males. Male Corpusites emit Intraphores; a pheromone that makes females more mentally and hormonally receptive to mating. It’s especially potent when inhaled and can also quicken gestation in non-Corpusite females. Female skin becomes very flexible after 15 minutes of unbroken Intraphore exposure, allowing the belly to bloat should the womb need to hold more cum than it normally can. The skin could stay this way many days. Corpusites can even reproduce with lifeforms not from Corpus but why it’s possible it’s not understood. When a male Corpusite is ready to mate, its genitals ooze a slime called Mindium. If there’s Mindium in a female’s cervix or womb, it’ll make her menstrual cycles and pregnancies drastically shorter. If it’s present when she gives birth, it can force her body to produce a new unfertilized egg within only a few hours. “Parasitic Intermating” is when a male inseminates the female of another species with sperm that replaces all genetic material in her unfertilized egg so she’ll give birth to copies of him instead of actual genetic offspring. All male Corpusites can use this strategy but all-male species depend on it for all reproduction. Corpusites can be divided into 4 broad categories: Corpus Bugs, Corpus Worms, Corpus Flails, and Corpus Blobs. Corpus Bugs (aka. “Sectanoids”) are 8-legged invertebrates with a thick exoskeleton and segmented bodies. They strongly resemble insects and crustaceans in both behavior and appearance. Male Corpus Bugs have a single long straight exoskeleton penis. It’s always erect but rests in a groove on the male’s belly when not used. In most species, the penis has retractable hooks and barbs used to prevent a female from pulling away during copulation. Corpus Worms are soft-bodied invertebrates that look like fat grotesque worms. They got no eyes and only an open hole for a mouth with 2 rows of 90 retractable razor-sharp teeth lined inside. Male Corpus Worms lack external genitals but have 2 prehensile penises in an air-filled internal organ called the Copulation Sack. It’s below the stomach and the male needs a female in it in order to mate. If he lacks a female, he’ll find one and swallow her into the sack. The sack’s walls are incredibly sticky, fully immobilizing her so the male can insert his penises and begin mating. Once in the Copulation Sack, the female is subjected to an endless loop of mating and birthing while absorbing nutrients and fluids from the sack’s secretions. When she gives birth, the male pukes up the larvae. Corpus Flails are slimy soft-bodied invertebrates consisting of a round eyeless body with 42 long tentacles lining its sides. They’re strongly reminiscent of the tentacle monsters seen in adult fiction, restraining and repeatedly raping any female creature they find, and not just vaginally, but anally and orally too. All of the tentacles can be used for swimming, climbing, gripping, and squeezing, but 16 have an extra function. 4 of these end in a mouth hole with teeth and are used for eating and drinking. The remaining 12 end in a tip similar to a penis-glans and are used for penetration. Corpus Flails are usually quite slow-moving on land, crawling limply along the ground, but they can be incredibly quick when they pounce or swim. They rely on sound and touch to navigate and can use echo-location to determine whether a creature has a vagina. They also have incredibly strong hormone receptors. There are no female Corpus Flails. A Corpus Flail trying to restrain a human would likely try to wrap some tentacles around the victim’s limbs and neck. Getting one’s breasts touched by a Corpus Flail can trigger lactation even in non-pregnant women. Corpus Blobs are fully aquatic soft-bodied blob-like invertebrates with 4 external tendril-like arms used to breathe and to grapple victims into submission. They can transpose living organisms directly through the skin of their abdomen into an organ known as the Trans-reproductive Digestion Chamber, or TDC for short, where they have 3 modified tendril arms. The inside of the TDC is coated in a sticky mucus containing a powerful nerve suppressant that quickly immobilizes the victim. The Corpus Blob won’t eat or hunt while it has the victim in its TDC. To dissolve and eat a victim, the 3 arms would discharge digestive enzymes. If the Corpus Blob intends to impregnate the victim instead, the 3 arms would insert themselves into the victim’s orifices and penetrate her at a rapid pace while sporadically discharging sperm into her at varying depths. Within a day, the TDC’s mucus will then take on a nutrition-rich composition that actively transfers nutrients from the Corpus Blob to the victim. 5 days later, the 3 arms stop moving, staying embedded in the vagina, anus and throat. At this point, the Corpus Blob will get sluggish and move to a deep undisturbed portion of its habitat. There it’ll sink to the bottom with its abdomen facing up and bury most of its body below the sand or mud while keeping its external arms exposed to breathe. It’ll enter a hibernation-like state lasting until the victim has undergone a full pregnancy within its TDC. For a human woman, this pregnancy would be about half as long as a normal pregnancy. Once born in the victim’s womb, the Corpus Blob’s spawn will push the insemination arm out of her cervix and vagina as they crawl out of her. They then leave the TDC to fend for themselves. Over the next 2 days, the Corpus Blob’s normal body functions will slowly return and it’ll eventually wake up and dig itself out of the sand/mud. At this point, its TDC will already have begun to kill the female with digestive enzymes to give the Corpus Blob the energy it needs to make a full recovery. Most Corpus Blobs live in swamps but a few species instead live in coastal freshwater zones. Belly Swellers are a type of all-male Corpus Bug. It crawls into a female’s womb and hooks itself to the uterine wall, then inseminates the egg. The pregnancy only lasts about 3 weeks and ends with a brood of about 200-300 larvae. Unless removed, the Belly Sweller will stay in the womb and initiate a new pregnancy as soon as a new egg is ready. A Groin Hugger is a type of all-male Corpus Bug the size of a horseshoe-crab. It attaches itself to a female’s groin, burying its penis deep inside her to deposit sperm. Once done, it lets go and scurries off. The pregnancy would last about 4 months for a human woman and end with a brood of about 20-40 larvae. Mind Bugs are a type of tiny parasitic Corpus Bug that enter the ear. It makes its victim more submissive, lustful, and mentally receptive to the idea of becoming a broodmother. A broodmother is a female who’s pregnant with the offspring of a Corpusite. Nipple Bugs are a type of tiny parasitic Corpus Bug. Little is known about them, but the females like to bury themselves into the nipples of human women if given the chance. Once inside, their legs and nibbles cause strong tickling sensations making the woman’s nipples permanently erect until the bug is removed. There are only 3 settlements on Corpus; the Anthony, Centurion, and Nero research outposts. They’re all quite small and mainly operated by researchers but mercenaries are also present. They even have a SEPTA (Special Emergency Protection and Termination Agency) squad each. SEPTA are infamous for doing almost anything (including sacrificing innocents) to accomplish their written orders and they’re very hard to prosecute. Ranked from least to most important, their 5 orders on Corpus are: (1) prevent smuggling, (2) assist the researchers, (3) protect outpost from contagion, (4) kill intruders, and (5) destroy outpost if situation is untenable. While in an outpost, most people wear thin tight-fitting single-colored full-body suits with added thermal regulators, only leaving the head and hands unclothed. Most Corpusites can easily tear or penetrate their way straight through one of these full-body suits or the gray spacesuits mentioned earlier. Every full-body suit and gray spacesuit has a long zipper going from the upper chest to the lower abdomen. It’s what you’d use to remove said suit. The full-body suits also have a short zipper on the crotch to make restroom breaks easier.
