Slider-resetting problem

Hello.

 

My problem is, that slider values of my sims keep resetting when the sim is re-loaded into the world. The values either reset to zero or to a value they had at a time before the problem occured, but it also affects new sims made from scratch. Yes, the affected slider values are from mod-sliders, but oddly enough also from vanilla-sliders that can be changed outside of CAS using MCCC, which should be compatible with wickedwhims (eg. shoulder width, upper/lower arm size etc.)

 

I did some experimenting and my other mods don't mess up my slider-values on their own. Without wickedwhims, there's no resetting. Actually, with wickedwhims they also do not reset unless a male sim undresses his bottom-wear in any context and reveals his penis. So I'm suspecting the problem might be connected to the way penis-settings of a sim are saved or applied? Female sims are affected by the resetting of slider-values, too, somehow. But only if someone shows his dick. It would be funny if it wasn't so annoying.

 

Deleting the localthumbnailcache or the WW-file in the saves-folder didn't do anything. All the mods are up to date.

 

Has anyone else had a problem like this? Is there anything I could do? Can I somehow force the slider-values to be saved and re-applied, if nothing else?

Yes you're right!

 

Now I tried out multiple up-to-date body-selector mods for male genitalia and ALL of them cause the issue. Same for other body parts, each of these mods alone causes my slider-value changes to not stick around when the sims are re-loaded. What's really confusing me is the fact that my already existing sims don't have their slider-values reset to zero, but to a different value I once gave them.

 

I really thought a solution would be visible to me now but it really isn't. Do you know what else to try by any chance? Thanks for the reply btw!

Thank you for offering this. I've send you my mods file-structure. I know it's a big mess, but most of it is just clothing and should be safe to ignore.

 

I will try out a few things with only wickedwhims and one other mod each time.

So here's what I did:

-New game with fresh new character (male sim, young adult, left him just as the game gave him to me)

-Only mods installed: wickedwhims and MCCC

-Set various slider-values to 100 using MCCC and saved the game

-Went into CAS multiple times, restarted the game multiple times

--->Result: Everything was fine and the slider values stayed at 100

-Added body-part mod "Noir's Pornstar Cock V7"

-Did the same as before

--->Result: After entering and exiting CAS, the slider-values were immediately set to 0

I really thank you for looking into my mess for me, but I'm sure you're giving me more of your time here than I deserve.

I did a "minimalistic" experiment, please check my updated previous post. The only mods there are WW and MCCC and one body-replacer mod at a time.

 

Using the save where WW and MCCC are the only mods installed (and no problems have occured), I now tried adding a body-replacer for the upper body and nothing else.

This time, the slider-values of my sim stayed at 100, even when completely undressed.

BUT when I allowed penis-customisation in WW-settings and changed the penis-values, the problem with the other slider-values was there again!

I did move ALL the contents of my mods-folder into a save place first, it was completely empty. I then put WW, MCCC and 1 body-replacer for each test back into the mods folder. All the other mods I had before shouldn't be able to have any effect on my "experiment", right? It was a new game afterall, new sim and nothing imported from other saves, the gallery or anything.

 

To me, it really looks like it has something to do with how WW handles penis data

But why is the problem still there if I have literally nothing else in my mods folder?😭

Maybe re-installing the game and everything is the only solution

I've send you the new file structure, but it's basically just what you see in this image.

 

Apparently, adding a body-part replacer isn't necessary to reproduce the problem. All I did right now was setting "shoulder width" of my sim to 100 (at this point, I could enter+exit CAS or restart the game without the value changing). Then I changed the WW genitalia-values, and the "shoulder width" was 0 right after entering+exiting CAS.

I did, but the results didn't change. I also removed the "mc_settings.cfg", no difference.

I have this issue as well. It started happening after the Business and Hobbies update. Did you figure out any solution?

I have similar problem, sims sliders and their bodys change after dancing on stripper pole. Havent had it happen outside of that.
