Bodyslide and Simple Body Editing

Well, another person new to modding Skyrim asking what is likely a dumb question.

 

I have the CBBE set and bodyslide 2 mods installed with the NMM. I can't find any body editing tool on the CMM though. I would like to be able to alter my characters body. What am I doing wrong / where should I go?

I didnt use NMM from a long time, so I can't tell that CMM is? However, the main bodyslide tool is inside data/calientetools/bodyslide/bodyslide.exe

 

From there you can open the new outfit studio awell, but I dont think that is necessary for your immediate purposes.

Sorry, I meant MCM, not CMM. Anyway, is it possible to change bodyshape within the game?

Nope. Bodyslide is a tool that allows to create your custom body mesh. Then ingame there are plugins like this one (compatible with this other) that allows to have more customizations. But Bodyslide itself is for you to easily create your own body and armors based on it.

Is that only available during character creation, or can you get it through MCM?

Character creation. But you can open the character creator to change your character anytime you want. Console command: showracemenu
