I want to play with a futa character, so I set the gender of SL to male. However, every time after sexual activity, the gender setting of SL changes to female. Does anyone know why this happens?

Probably, SL does not identify Futa as a gender . You need SOS with the Futa addons, Cumshot, set to make the character Futa, This, however, does not prevent your character from being identified as female in the case sex of male/female gender. It works best with FF gender, making sure you don't have any lesbian animations
