wubs Posted May 23, 2025 Posted May 23, 2025 Hey folks, trying to do a Darth Talon port to Skyrim, need some help with the headress/lekku textures. The lekku/headdress is a separate mesh that I set on top of the head mesh kinda of like a hat. Unfortunately having a hard time matching both the skin and headdress textures under certain lighting situations. Here's some examples: https://ibb.co/xS8Syw5N - with facelight, headdress gets extra reflective/glowy and no shadows https://ibb.co/rKb6BM1F - without facelight, headdress seems like it doesn't reflect light at all https://ibb.co/4w054svf - from the front there doesn't seem to be any issues except slight color mismatches between the headdress/lekku and the face texture I created the diffuse, specular, glow maps blended from Skyrim face textures and set them to mimic the head textures in outfit studio. The only thing I created separately using GIMP was the normal map, which I think it what's causing the shininess/glow. Only other problem I can think of is that there's a setting that needs to be activated in Nifskope because the mesh was directly imported to outfit studio from blender as an obj and if face/skin meshes need specific flags/attributes that need to be activated to separate them from normal meshes like armor. Any help is appreciated!
