Pandora/Mo2 Crash on Linux

I can't get Pandora to start when running mo2 through proton GE. No errors, launch->crash

First relevant piece of information is I have my mo2 install directly in the SE directory as a fix for a no music/voices audio bug (I tried everything else first), then had to rename mo2.exe skyrimselauncher---this is also something rockerbacon's mo2-linux installer will do so I don't think it's the problem.

Second piece of information is I ran & checked bodyslide & pandora at the very beginning of the process in order to make sure this-exact-problem wouldn't occur (lmao). They did work then, I even installed EVG idles to see if it recognized installed files. bodyslide still runs but Pandora stopped somewhere in the 380 installs for whatever reason. Pandora can  start *outside* mo2 but this is obviously useless if it can't work with the virtual files.

I have 3 working theories but I'm not sure how to properly implement them/completely off base: Kiloader is installed and it throws a missing .dll error when I launch mo2 from steam, I can click through that and launch the game correctly from mo2, but maybe kiloader thinks it's loading the game and throwing the same errors for pandora? but then why is bodyslide immune? Could any skse addons -engine fixes-? Affect tool launches through mo2, if steam thinks mo2 is skyrim?

It's some kind of not recognizing the correct folder/executable for skyrim: this seems the most common thing on the Pandora forums, solved using regedit and -tesv: arguments to direct it properly. the registry is correct, i've tried the argument correctly. If it's trying to interact with the skyrimselauncher that I renamed that could be a problem, but I don't know how it would've worked the first time if that was the case.

The first thing I tried when this occurred was simply to uninstall Pandora and attempt a reinstall. This didn't work, but  I'm not sure if I need to purge more than removing the mod from MO2 for a clean go of it. Could some discrepancy between old pandora config bs and the new install be occurring, and causing it not to work?

If this were earlier in the build process I'd go try a whole other method for organizing mo2 & skyrim (tinker launch might be able to handle mo2 & skyrim separately?) but I've got a stable and fully functional loadorder here just sans pandora-patched animations. I'm willing to try some exotic troubleshooting before starting over from scratch

Thanks for any insight's y'all might have

It's always after you've caved and asked for help that you have the right combination of ideas isn't it?

On the off chance someone else finds themselves in similar circumstances--here is what I did:

created a new wine prefix for my modorganizer exe: protontricks'd in net framework on it, made sure it used proton GE, launched pandora through it with the -tesv: argument line. This instance fails to launch the game, but it can create the pandora output. I'm not really sure *why* this has worked but it successfully loaded my animations.

What I'm doing on Mint is simply running the prefix that Steam created for Skyrim, from a sh file. Everything works as-is in it, except for the newest MO2 where QT6 is having issues. I don't recall specifically testing Pandora.

Could you post the commands you used to create this prefix?

Proton generated the prefix when I added the executable to steam and ran it through proton.
